coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 07/02/2012 4:06 pm If the coin was attributed as a doubled die, it is in error. That is not a doubled die. It is most likely a well placed bubble in the plating on the coin. Report this Post to the Staff

The reason I said bubble is that the shape doesn't match an ear and the distance of the "bowtie" to the "ear" would be incorrect.I'm not speaking for Chuck, but that was my observation from the start.
