I think PMD, but I also notice that some of the legend near the rim may be weekly struck. Could be due to (perhaps) grease between planchet and die, may have something to do with it.

I'd don't know about the nose but it looks to be XF45-AU50

sel_691 I don't see how it is PMD considering the rest looks to be in decent shape. She got a straight jab right on the nose? Strange about the top of STATES OF on the reverse too.

Looks strong for AU-50, maybe a notch higher. There is slight rub over the diagonal fasces bands and I think Liberty's cheek also shows slight wear.

The "broken nose" is a common result of overpolishing of the dies and is seen on many dates of Mercury dimes. Even proofs can show this effect. The weak letter tops on STATES is likewise a common strike characteristic.

This coin is obviously not a Full Bands piece, but at least the date is complete. Many 1920 dimes have the 0 merged with the rim but this one has a good strike in this area. Nice coin overall!

I think it's a nice AU-50. The nose area just looks like a weak area in the strike much like the reverse lettering in States and Of. Appears to be original uncleaned based on the grime in the protected areas. Nice coin for a 20-S!

The "broken nose" Mercury dimes are due to excessive die abrading, the bridge of the nose was essentially polished off the die,

For me its all about the diagonal bands. Particularly the lower one. Not much wear. I'm going with AU55. With the proviso that I might go .5 higher or lower if I saw it in hand.
