on my way home from work I had a little extra spare cash so I decided to stop by my dealer and pick up an ounce of silver (of course I picked up a 2012 Canadian silver maple BU) he gave it to me for 31$. I have 40$ to spare before buying the maple so with 9$ I looked around his store, then I saw this! as some of you know I recently got my girlfriend into coin collecting, and as some of you others know, I'm only 18, and so is my girlfriend (we're still kids) yeah, laugh it out but she definitely loves, different coins (anything to keep a newbee interested) can't wait to give it to her haha!

Cute - neat coin! I was also freaked out by Cookie Monster as a kid. Same with The Count and Oscar the Grouch. I didn't like Sesame Street that much actually :-)

That's pretty cool. My fiance and I are huge, I mean HUGE, Disney fans (we live in Florida so we get to go to WDW multiple times a year), but she isn't into coins at all but is sweet enough to put up with my obsession and enjoys seeing my new finds. But anyways I've recently been looking at getting some Disney related silver rounds I have seen on ebay to maybe get her more interested in collecting but the premiums are just too high which makes sense since it is Disney memorabilia lol It's good to know that there may be other venues out there to keep an eye on for those rounds though.

That's really cool. I have a few coins that USED to be worth 1c but I ran them through a machine to make tokens worth pretty much nothing to anyone else, but the memories of my family at that spot are priceless. For only $9 you managed to:
1 - give your girlfriend a gift 2 - encourage her interests in collecting 3 - create a memorable item
I'd call that a pretty darn good day and you picked up a Maple to boot!

Hopefully you did not pay too much for a 100 mills thick .999 silver plated "coin".
