Heres another one from my Dads collection. I am losing some of the fine detail somewhere in the picture process. With the coin in hand you can see the lines on the feet of the eagle. I added a picture of the ear & hair around it, shows a little more detail.

For some reason I don't see this coin as a MS coin. The hit on the cheek and what looks like a pretty big hit on the tail feathers is throwing me off. That and I think there is some wear on it, but I'm just not comfortable with grading these yet to be honest. Maybe a middle of the road AU coin?

There are quite a few morgan experts here, Superdave-Becky-Morganman-Bryan1315, which can help you. Of course I don't mean to let anyone out of the loop as there are a ton of people here that are fantastic at grading and very much "experts" in my opinion on this series.

One of them will be along to tell me to not offer my opinion anymore and just listen and watch a while longer....lolol.

I don't have any help on a grade, I still stay away if it is in the MS range. I just wanted to say that it is a nice looking coin. My first morgan was(is) drkly toned like that and thats the way I still prefer them.

My first reaction is AU-55 to AU58. There appears to be a little wear over the ear and on the cap.

Nice Morgan.
