This is another coin from my Dads collection, it's my favorite one. There is just something about this design that I really like. I may be biased, but I give this coin a grade of VF-30.

While I'm not really sure on the obverse, the reverse I think makes EF easily. I think there may be too little hair detail for EF on the obverse, but the reverse makes EF in my opinion.

Very nice coin.

Tights is absolutely right about the reverse, definitely a strong XF. Lines in all three I's look great. Obverse is VF20 with the worn hair. So I agree with a net VF30 grade.

I think what makes this attractive is its balance between a honest circulating coin and available design detail. I see why its your favorite out of the collection.

I thought the reverse was easily the best, if the hair detail had been better I would have gone with EF. The more I look at the coins from the 1800's the more I like them. I'm definitely going to expand my collection in that direction.

I like it. It's what they call an "honest" coin. Hopefully Prethen will be along at some point; he's our resident 3CN aficionado.
