Samuel, the "1796" is an "1756", that is a spanish style "5" The coins with the legend "HISPANIARUM REX" (King of the Spanish Empire)are minted in Spain and carry mintmarks from Spain The coins with the legend "HISPAN ET IND REX (King of Spain and the Indies) were minted in the new world and carry new world mintmarks

That is indeed a nice looking Hookneck. The 1821 Guadalajara Fernando VII is not bad, as well.
