Poll Question
alright, here is the question, I've heard pro's and con's towards both!
Silver bars, Silver rounds, Junk Silver or Country Specific.
i heard junk is good because it is much more easier to barter with, and country specific hold higher premiums, but what's your views?
i'd like to do a poll and answer, so if you vote! please comment!

Since I had to pick one, I picked bars. Who doesn't like hold a 10oz or even a 100oz bar in there hand?

The bulk of my stack is in ASE's and SML's. Love the bars, too. Though I do have a few I really like, I'm typically not much a fan of the private rounds. Of course you just can't beat quality junk silver for the price.

I get them all...but I guess I like my bars to be from the RCM and I have mostly maple leafs and I only buy and search Canadian 80% silver...so I guess I'm really on the country specific side, thought I do have all.

I regularly buy all four, but given the choices, I went with ASE's, Maples, etc

Country Specific 1oz (Maples, Eagles). Easy choice for me.

I usually get ASEs and bars as well depending on spot and my current $ per OZ average.

I chose "Country Specific 1oz (Maples, Eagles)" because here in Mexico any bank will buy a 1 oz Libertad from you at a publicly published price no questions asked...try doing that with a bar. (very low buy/sell spread too) You'd be hard pressed to have the same liquidity with any other form of silver in these parts.

Junk silver. Why pay a premium for .999 when you can get junk silver for spot?

90% Silver US coins are my favorite. That being said I agree with everyone above and have a little of everything.

Quote: I buy all four its good to diversify I could not agree with this more. Not only is this a great choice but it is what I am already doing! I suppose that if I was limited to a single one, it would be junk silver. It too is country specific and it is easily recognized as a known value. Not that every one out there knows about the silver content of pre-1965 US coins but many do and the rest would learn very quickly.

WOW!I'm a little surprised at the silver round votes. I mean 33 votes and only one vote was cast for the rounds.I thought more people collected them from the numbers of them I see on ebay.As for me I like the Bars or small poured loaves.I guess if I wanted the silver rounds I'd buy the 90% silver coins from yesteryear
