While I had my camera out last night and putting some of my new 7070 coins into their respective trays, I figured that I would pop off a few images to show my "work in progress". While these are not the best, optimized images, it will give you a rough idea. Super nice set! This is probably the smartest way to put a type set together and it allows you to add coins not in the 7070. But I'm old fashioned and still like plugging album holes and actually being able to hold the coin.

Very nice set! Looks like you're making good progress. I debated going slabbed versus raw when I first started. I liked the look better in the Dansco, so I went that path. However, as time has gone one and I've upgraded coins, I've realized that I would have saved a lot of money by going with the slabbed version. It's much easier to sell a slabbed coin (on ebay) - and also much easier for next of kin to sell a slabbed coin at a show without getting ripped off by a dealer undergrading the coin. What's your standard for the coins you're putting in? A certain price point? A certain grade? This was one of the tougher things I had to figure out - what I wanted to do for a bit of uniformity with it.

My 7070 collection start with the highest coins that I can afford for the most recent issues, and slowly go into lower grade coins (for the most part) as I go back into time.
Small Cents for example;
2005-D Memorial MS68 Red 1948-S Wheat Back MS67 Red 1943-P Steel MS66 1909-p VDB MS63 Red 1906 Indian MS64 RB (oops, I went up a grade) 1863 Indian Copper Nickel MS62 1859 Indian Wreath XF45 1857 Flying Eagle VF30
Grade is not the only factor, eye appeal of course plays a big part as well.

Very nice set I think I'm leaning towards a slabbed type set as well.

I actually prefer slabs for that reason. I can hold the coin all I want and handle it all I want and dont have to worry about messing it up

Slabbed set is the way to go. Don't let Dansco tell you what to include in your type set. Make it your own..

Sweet set! I finished the album a couple of years ago and have slowly been collecting a slabbed set like you and I am really enjoying it.

Nice set and lots of variety. Glad to see you bought coins vs collecting a certain companies slab. Keep it up

I have focused on the TOP III TPG, but I have looked at a couple coins that were in ICG slabs, but have not committed...yet (one in particular is on the block right now). Nice coins are housed in all sorts of holders, so why limit your scope to just one?

Really a nice type set you have going. I did a Dansco 7070 set but wanted raw coins to fill the holes. I like you slabbed set very good looking collection.
