Here is a real small coin about 13 mm with 100 in wreath on back but has this squirrel on coin, do not know country? Do you know? If you do, let me know. Here is the otherside, maybe it is play money or speilgeld? I have seen Norway's Squirrel and other jpeg shown made me think of 'play money'. Comments welcome. Edited by Imasnore 08/04/2012 1:43 pm

I'm guessing it's just a token of some kind, since money is normally identified by origin and denomination.

I agree, however, I thought I would try world currency section first. Tokens is a smaller more selective section. Thank you for looking.

Here is some examples play money with dates, script & logo. This Squirrel is too small for a token, not sure about play money... Thinking outside the box (comments welcome)

For the production of play money, often features from existing coins were used. Therefore they also become an interesting area to look into. The reverse of this piece is clearly inspired on the swiss series of 10 rappen (see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:CHF_coins.jpg ). The fact that this piece is not showing any country name, any denomination, no date and no production details such as a mint mark, mint master mark or engravers mark, clearly points to playmoney.
