Can anybody tell me what are the most sort out threepence coins,i have many 1921 threepence should I keep them or try and sell them.I have over 40 1951 threepence coins aswell,any help on this matter i'd really appreciate.All coins are in great condition hardly any marks or scratches.

The less common ones are 1912, 1915, 1921/2 overdate, 1923, 1942 no mintmark and 1947.
Otherwise if they're 1936 or earlier and are uncirculated or close to it they'd be worth a bit.

Does anybody know if the 1953 and 1954 threepence coins are good to collect as I have both of them.Both are in great condition.

Hi there,
As long as the coins are in natural condition (not cleaned / polished) the 1951 no mintmark (check at the base of the wheat stalks if they have P on the left, and L on the right it is a mintmark coin from london) is collectible
The 1953 and 1954 are also quite collectible.

All of the 1951 threepence have the P and L bottom of wheat stalks,i would upload them but trying to find the best way of doing it,I'm a new member and have never scanned any coins before,i will have pictures of them sometime tommorrow.Thanks for all of your feedback so far.

1951 PL is the second most common threepence after the 1963. 1953 amd 1954 are a bit harder.

Its hard to tell from the photos but could be anywhere between gVF and UNC. Lots of detail remaining.

I think its at least VF

a closer look at the crown would help to see the Diamonds and Pearls better.

Hard to get a decent photo in the holder at night but it has 8 pearls and lots of lustre
I picked it up a few weeks ago on ebay and is definately a keeper

threepences are so tiny,its amazing how they were once the old 5c in the early days but smaller

Deano, the 6d was the 5c equivalent (and still the exact same size). 3d is equal to 2.5 cents.
