Well, after someone successfully put some fabricated errors in IAG's first auction of last year they've decided to put more into their current auction (sale 76). Lots 512 through to 516 are all manufactured and worthless. Coins like these fetched several hundred dollars each last year and no doubt some poor soul will pay that much this time. Spread the word if you can, the more people that know and talk about this the more chance we have of the lots being pulled.

I saw those in the catalogue the other week and thought they looked a bit dodgy. I wonder who let them through.
And there's also a mistake with lot 518.

What a joke ! I think some of those coins have been on ebay as well & I'm pretty sure we were discussing them in the "Compiling a list of 'Shed Job' PMD Sellers" thread. Do these big Auction places not have anyone with enough knowlege to say "thats crap" ! we're not selling that rubbish

If the coins were double struck then why is the second impression in reverse? This would seem to indicate that the second strike was simply by another coin. Definite shed jobs. Makes you wonder why an auction house would ruin its reputation by selling this crap. And I thought ebay was dodgy

Has anyone said anything to the auction house about these?

I do not know anything abut brockage (probably should learn) but 513 is my favourite. How the heck does a 10c reverse get there?

I see a 1984 Mule. Never heard of one before. Was there a 1984 or is the seller breaking new ground - or perhaps muling the wrong year.

Lot 518 says muled reverse design, not obverse as it should state.
