ok, has anyone tried this? I have no idea how it works, I don't want to know... But I do know, it is so awesome!
As an iPad obsessed individual, and the usual iPhone photo taker, I used to hate being bothered with plugging my digital camera into my computer or iPad to fetch the photos. NOT ANYMORE!!
Eye-FI its an SD card that fits into any digital camera, and will automatically transfer your photos anywhere you want them! Specific folder on your computer, iPhone, iPad... I N C R E D I B L E !

For us non-Apple people, my digital camera takes an 8 gig SD card which fits my laptop. just kidding about the . If an Apple fits your needs, that's fine. A Windows based system fits mine.

Haha duly noted fuzzy... But wouldn't you like to never have to remove your SD card, shoot anywhere and know those photos would be on your computer before you get home? ;) just sayin.... Lol

usually I am either at home taking coin/note pictures, or on the road with my laptop. So, my photos are usually on my computer before I get home anyway.....

I know me too! I'm just bustin .....
Its really funny, I am 28 and when I was in 4th grade I remember the Macintosh computers were "tested in my school". I honestly have never used a PC for anything other than outlook (for work) if there's something that needs to be done I need it on a Mac or I can't do it LOL. When you put me in front of windows I look like I'm going to jump out of them instead of use them! Lol

Ummm.... last time I saw, the Eye-Fi is just another SD card (with neat abilities) - it doesn't matter which computer system you use. They have been out for quite a few years now and I am surprised they are not more popular. Quote: I'm out of selling points. LOL How about no viruses to worry about, no re-installing programs, no crashing and taking the whole system with it, not having to reset the machine (no Ctrl Alt Del!), 20 dollar upgrades to the newest version of the OS when they bring one out, been using speech recognition (built in) since the late 90's, Expose', spaces, want me to keep going, and going, and going? Seriously - I have extensive experience in these two platforms (used to teach computer/programming) and a couple older platforms. I run Windows on my mac for only one program I have that they never made for Mac. Other than that, I use the Mac for everything else now. The less-hassle machine is definitely Mac. WHen Microsoft gets a better system - I'll be back in their camp just as fast! I don't care which one I have as long as it does what I want it to and I can spend more time doing what I want than monkeying with the system trying to get it to work right.

Eye-Fi is a no-brainer for anyone who does not use tethering specifically to shoot. Me, I've been actively using SD cards as "floppy disks" for years, so it's just habit to yank the card to throw in a computer.
