Quote: Found a 1968 Canadian dime in the grocery store Coinstar today! Was pretty excited about a possible silver find until I weighed it. Still a fun find though. Only my second find at a Coinstar. Yes, still a nice find!

After my recent 3-week drought ended yesterday we stopped in a different store today to grab a couple items. Sure enough I found 51 cents in change. No keepers but someone forgot to check for rejects...

I've made such a deal of checking Coinstars that my wife checked the machine at our local grocery which NEVER has anything and came home with these! No silver but a gold smile on her face.

Second silver in a week. Found these three today at 11:15am. A little early for the best time of the day, but glad I went. On Friday or Saturday I also found Two Cents stuck together. Got them separated and even put one of them in the dishwasher, but whatever the sticky substance was it permanently rusted the zinc on both coins. Couldn't see the dates. The dime is a P, the Canadian quarter is 2006 and the Bermuda quarter is a 2000. That six loonie haul above is impressive. I wonder what the dumper was thinking.

I'm in a two week drought. I haven't even found any modern, common coins.

Found my first silver dime (1959) and my first wheatie (1939). Plus a bunch of random Canadians. Can't tell I live super close to Canada or anything!I find more Canadian than US in the CoinStar.

Yesterday I passed by the Coinstar machine, but it was empty except for this one nail, but I found a 1964 D quarter from those machines that change dollar bills into coins. In addition, I got a 2009 nickel in change today (not really a machine find, but I was surprised to find both the nickel and the quarter this week).
