Checked two today and nothing. I also checked out 6 coin return bins at Wal-mart and found nada... but then again I've never found anything in those.

I have never found anything, anywhere. I just have to come here and enjoy about everyone's reported finds.

Again, why is everybody reporting finding common coins? This is a coin collector's forum. If you find a silver dime, report it here. If you find 29 cents in modern coins, it's not worth it to mention it.

bugo - I didn't realize we had a new hall monitor here. If you don't like the thread, find one you do like.

If you can question the originator of this topic (over 5 years ago) then maybe you can provide us with what should and should not be posted. But, then there's this: Quote: I keep all my MD finds, the ones from today I'll take to the bank with everything else. A penny is still a penny, even if beat up! I have seen folded quarters in tellers trays. It's all money. ...from the OP. Quote: If you don't like the thread, find one you do like.

Agreed - Coinstar finds means anything you find. I once found a diamond earring in one. (It was in the junk tray under the coin tray and the teller opened it for me to grab it). Anything counts.

I haven't posted here in awhile but my last find was at one of my ex-bank branches. They have a coin counter there I occasionally used, and would pull coins out of the reject tray. I still got cut off last week because the manager apparently doesn't approve of my bill collecting habits...
But on the other hand, I've found about $10 in change in the past month, and I even found a dollar bill in the bathroom at my college! So even though I'm not here as much due to lack of CRH outlets and Coinstar finds, I'm still looking.

So 5 minutes ago I walk into the bathroom down the hall and find Frederick Douglas laying on the ground (quarter). I picked him up and washed him and my hands at the same time before then walking down to the break room. I always look on top of the machines, because at least once a month someone leaves a few cents up there. Today I found 3 Lincolns and a nickel that someone stuck up there. I guess they just don't feel like carrying odd change so they put it up there when buying something from the vending machine. So - I'm up 33 cents this morning.

I'm glad people post their non-collectible finds. It interesting to see what is being discovered and I always enjoy hearing about people who find free money. :)
