I had some time before work today so I hit up the bank for some quarter rolls. I also got 7 Ikes. But at the coin counter machine, I found these in the reject bin.   Edited by TJLang

Hit 11 Coinstar machines today in my travels to banks... found all of 3 cents and a tiny foreign coin. LOL.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Last week a single 1942 Mercury in the coinstar same machine the other day a 1964 D Washington in both cases they were the only coins in the reject tray

Very nice finds and congratulations santafeboy! That's a good find. I always love finding 90% Silver in the CoinStar reject bins. Errers and Varietys.

This weekend, I checked the coinstar at our Walmart, and found two dimes, one a 1958 silver Rosie! |

I looked a few more times this weekend and haven't found anything else yet. But that Christmas collection is some good motivation to keep looking. I'm baffled that someone would leave over $13 in face value in a CoinStar--even if they didn't know about the silver. Maybe they thought they were fake, since they look different from clad quarters/dimes...?

More than likely the person simply failed to realize that there was a reject bin... a lot of people will just go to the machines, dump the coins in, and get their cash voucher, without even checking the reject bin. OK The wife strikes again. I come home to a small bowl of coins on the table. She says Look what I found in the CoinStar machine today.  10 LMC Pennies 2 nickels 2 dimes 1 battery 1 NJ Parkway token (we do live in NJ) 1 1 EURO France 2000 1 20 EURO France 2000 1 5 Centavos Ecuador 1 25 Cents Trinidad I do love this girl I think she is as hooked as I am  |
