Found my first silver! I've found money before, some foreign, but finally! A 1954 dime. I'm still a little too self conscious to look under the machine, the store is always busy.

mendelman - those quarters are amazing. Great find!

I've never searched under a Coinstar machine, but I may have to start this weekend. Holy cow!!

Found my first silver since July 16 today. Went to the store in the middle of the afternoon. I usually go in the early AM and hadn't found much of anything. I may have to start going at odd hours if this keeps up.

Silver: (I believe the scraped one is a '52D)

Interesting cents, heads only:

In addition, since July 16, I've found common change adding up to $0.72, including two quarters. So that $0.72 plus $0.25 (face value on the silver dimes and 5 wheats) will go into my Salvation Army jar.

PS: The "ancient" coin is probably a reproduction

Whoa- did you seriously just find an antoninianus of Gordian III?! I don't have time to check wildwinds, but he reigned from 238-244 CE!

Looks like an ancient Roman amongst your foreign coins.
Unless it is a reproduction.

Nice snags.

The general consensus is that it's a fake- still a very interesting find!

Amazing, Slamnbass! Congrats!

Been finding European 2 Cent coins a lot lately... I found 2 dimes out of two machine about a mile apart today. Strangely, one was a 1983-P, the other a 1983-D.

I normally don't post my "modern" Coinstar finds, but this coin I found yesterday converts to $1.33 in US currency!
