Despite being common and modern, still not a bad find!

Quote: Despite being common and modern, still not a bad find! I'll take free money any day of the week... in money terms, that coin is actually the equivalent (approximately) of finding a silver dime based on bullion values!

John77 - I can beat that! It amounts to $1.59 US, $2 Australia, 26¢ Canada, and 5 centimos Costa Rica. It incudes a total of 14 pennies stuck together . Fun Fact: they sound like batteries if you drop them on each other

The same Coinstar machine which gifted me a 1907 Barber dime a few weeks ago yielded another piece of silver: a 1962 Roosevelt dime. There was also a regular clad dime sticking out from under the machine.

Stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things for the holiday. Decided to swing by the Coinstar even though it was on the other side of the store when I was leaving. Found a clad dime, two National Park quarters, a Canadian dime, and the best -- a nice 1962-D Silver Washington quarter.
