For crazyb0, I use the Amazon gift card option. This topic was discussed on a different thread. I can't remember which one!

Not a CoinStar find but... My grandfather was a musician that played in clubs and bars throughout the 1960s and 1970s in central FL. Part of his nightly routine was to check the coin returns of all pay phones and vending machines in the facilities where he was performing for coins to add to his modest collection. One night in '65 or '66 he found a very nice 42/41 Mercury dime in a pay phone that was the star of his collection.

The past couple of weeks have been very good to me... the silver quarter was found in the first machine I searched this year (1/3/17), the silver dime at the end of last year, the 1941 wheat yesterday, and the 1948 wheat last week.

Wow, nice quarter John. Today another silver dime, a 64 d. I'm on quite an unbelievable streak, since it started before thanksgiving.

Thanks, jbuck and illegaltender!
That silver quarter sure got the New Year off on the right foot... when I grabbed the pile of coins, I thought I heard silver, but I thought it was "just" another silver dime...
And illegaltender congrats on your silver finds as well! I've been on a pretty good Coinstar roll myself ever since about two weeks before Christmas. It also doesn't hurt though that I'm searching more machines now. Today I found a pretty nice 1930 wheatie.

I never would have thought to check coinstar machines until I read this thread. First Finds Unfortunately it looks like the 1920 was cleaned. Still I'm pleased.

Cleaned or not, it's still a 1920. Nice find!
