Jefferson Silver Post 1945? - Coin Community Forum

Anjohl Pillar of the Community Canada 815 Posts	Posted 09/13/2012 12:51 am Thomas Jefferson is one of my heroes (Yes, I am Canadian, please don't make a big deal out of it!), and I want a nice silver piece to go in my binder adorned by his regal face. I have a wonderful " War Nickel", but those are only .350 I believe. Does the US mint (Which produces WONDERFUL Proof Sets I might add!) ever release the nickel in silver, or was there ever a "Silver DOllar" sized coin featuring Jefferson? Thanks in advance. There is a 250th anniversary Jefferson silver dollar from 1993. There is a BU and proof version and you should be able to find either for under $50 raw. Report this Post to the Staff

GR58 Bedrock of the Community United States 11951 Posts	Posted 09/14/2012 5:37 pm There is also a special set put out in 1994. The 1994 coin and currency set has the 1993 BU silver dollar, a 1994 Matte proof nickel, along with a $2.00 bill. All have Jefferson on them. Report this Post to the Staff
