I have gotten some amazing deals on my Ace 250, lesche digger, and a garret pro pointer.
My tips is this: Call, email, or text people who are willing to make deals. Yes, text is an option. Many people sell MD as a small business and will communicate with you like normal people communicate! When someone makes an offer, let another dealer know what the lowest price is that you have found. If they want the sale, they will beat the price!
Out of respect, don't give numbers out (notice I haven't given numbers) to other buyers. If you get a good deal where aseller saves you money, don't do the seller a disservice by losing them money on further deals! But just find a site that advertises to call, email, or text for best deals. They mean it!
Bottom line: Buying MDers is like buying a car: NEVER PAY STICKER PRICE!

I just bought a Ace 350 after shopping for months, Got ot for @269.95 and has a larger coil and a set of head phones. All I need now is to decide on a pin pointer brand.

Garret pro pointers are the best hands down. You gotta have the proximity beep! It's like play hot and cold. Other pintpointers just let you know "its somewhere around here" After using a garret pp I can never go back to using any other!

If the new Minelab pinpointer is anywhere near as good as their detector, I will be picking up one soon. I currently use the Sunray in-line probe on my ML Explorer II.

MSRP = $195 (cheaper @ Kellyco, $169) 9v, 2-yr warranty, and: adjustable sensitivity, two mode operation, water resistant construction and new DIF technology that removes false signals and noise commonly associated with other pinpointers. DIF technology eliminates interference with an operating metal detector, when it is switched off, by disengaging the coil's magnetic field.

Any proximity indication? Thats a big factor. I haven't heard of any other pp having that feature.

indicates the depth of buried targets with a proportional vibration and audio response. As the pinpointer probe gets closer to the target, the intensity of vibration and audio increases.

I just watched the profind video on the other thread. There really seems like there's no difference in the garret pro pointer and the mine lab pro find.
