Hate to say apple but the 54 might just make aUNC and the 51 would only be EF possibly aUNC.Just my opinion but they both have a few bag marks and the 51 looks as though it has a bit more wear on the obverse but could just be a soft strike

I believe the apparent rub and double strike on the 1951 is actually caused by an impression left on the plastic of the 2x2 holder. I don't believe it's actually worn though it'd be difficult to be certain without taking the coin out of the holder..

Thanks for all replies, unfortunately I can't remove the coin from the holder because I will be returning them,i believe the doubling is from an indent in the plastic, under the loupe there is definite wear in all the common places, cheek, eyebrow, hair, ear etc & a lot of little marks around the rim & the same with the 54.
I was probably a little harsh when I messaged the seller as I was very unhappy with what I received.

OK,i may be wrong and what I read may be wrong but the Mint didn't roll coin in the early 1950's,it was bagged out of the bucket and delivered to Banks where it was rolled or stored in bulk.

Just had a good look at the ebay photos and they are definately different coins.Too many bag marks on the ones you received and less lustre. What a dog act that is.They cant expect to continue to get away with replacing coins like that, its just NOT ON

the coins you got are different to the photos in the listing. I think the 54 is EF-aUNC and the 51 is in the EF region but its hard to tell from the crap on the 2x2. Have you had a reply from the seller yet? Hope you paid via paypal. What is it with you an ebay? You seem to get done time and time again

Yes lately I've been getting some beauties,i think I must have a message on my account somewhere that say "rip this bloke off" No ebay is a minefield these days & I guess I had such a good run for so long it's catchup time, but seriously you can't foresee the "switcharoo" & I think more & more seller are trying it on,as for the seller they reckon they don't do refunds but they will inspect the coins & if they deem them to be the same coins they will send replacement coins.
I told them I'm not interested in replacement coins & if they don't/are'nt going to refund let me know now so I can start the ebay/paypal dispute process, the seller is an smart butt SOB IMO but I did give them a serve so not surprising really.

Good on ya for demanding a refund, most buyers will just accept the loss because its not worth the trouble, so sellers like this get away with it.

Those aren't the same two coins in the ebay pictures, the 1951 is so worn it actually looks fake (I don't think I've ever seen that much wear on a 51 comm obverse though).

There was a bunch of stuff on the bay last week.
The pic's were crappy but I took a punt anyway.
They cost me $180 delivered so are on a par with what you paid.
They are not "Outstanding " but are still nice enough grades to hang on to
