I will guess VF-35. I could also see NGC grading it XF-40. It is a beauty!

Yeah, I'm on the 35-40 bandwagon. Lovely coin.

Very nicely done. NGC gave it a 40. I was think more like 45 myself. Anyone ever send anything to CAC? It's got such nice eye appeal I'm thinking it might be a good candidate.

i dont know if the $150 retail spread between 40 and 45 is worth the chance...if you were thinking it would grade up to AU50 its worth the time and energy but chances are not in your favor with the poorly struck stars and some of the other contact marks...I'm not sure they would give it the +5

Honestly, at XF40 this might just be a good CAC candidate, not to mention the coin fits the demographic of those for whom a green bean is relevant.

I never grade coins so I wouldn't take my opinion. lol. but I tried grading this one before looking at other opinions to keep my opinion unbiased. I came up with VF35

VF-20 if not lower by actual wear rather than purely 'diagnostics'...these were struck very hard in some areas and the presence of certain features didn't mean it didn't take a lot of wear. It's not anywhere close to an EF coin IMO.

I had put this one at around VF-35. IMO, I think it will be unlikely this coin will receive a CAC sticker or get bumped up if you resubmit. Nice pickup!

Note that this coin is very strongly struck in the 'key diagnostic areas'. That's the main reason it warrants a lower literal 'wear' grade but could get a bump to 25 or 30 because it looks nice. There are often XF coins with some luster that have less detail in the 'key areas' than this coin but sometimes....the feathers on the eagle will be all there all the way down to Fine.
