I just checked vamworld. Do not see a variety for the doubled 84 in the date.
Believe a MS63 with a shot at 64. Does not look to be PL.
You are correct - get this one to NGC if you are going to have it graded.

MS-63
Send it to NGC if you want to get it graded. They will put a band around the holder, with the grade on it.

I am leaning towards a MS-63. Both NGC and ANACS will certify the coin in the GSA holder.

Either a MS-62 or 63 - I personally think it's a lock 63 grade, the TPG's don't always see it the same way as me however.

These are always a crap shoot at a TPG. I can almost guarantee it gets MS-63 or MS-64 but can't say which.

Comparing it to my selection of NGC graded Morgans, I'm going to say MS63 is a safe bet. You may squeeze a 64 if the graders are in a good mood, lol... NGC is the only way to go on GSA coins in original packaging. Far too many have been broken out, which for me at least ruins a large part of the history of the coin...

There appears to be some doubling on the "84" on the lower portion of the date as a minimum, so definitely check out the VAM in this.

It could very well go MS64. I have sent lots of GSA's to NGC. From what I have found, the cheek is one of the most important factors. With the GSA's, you have to send them in the early bird tier ($30) which is almost twice the price of economy. So if you were asking me personally (which you are not) I would say you have to figure out what you want to do with the coin (sell or keep) and then figure out your price points to make your decision. Nice looking coin!

Very obvious repunching in the date. Was mentioned that they didn't find it on VAMworld. GL with that coin. Edit: After the thread at VamWorld, I'm very surprised at their skepticism. Repunching is probably visable without a loupe. Great find, and hope you share the new VAM attribution when you get the coin back. Cheers!

Below is a post I did at VAM World regarding this coin: Were do I begin? First, let me start by apologizing to all on this site. I'm an idiot. Can I be kicked off for insulting myself? Yes, I feel like a real fool. Not that this is an excuse but this is what happened. I posted the 1874cc coin on a forum after I inspected (yes, inspected) it and placed the images for all to see. Somebody pointed out the date doubling and without going back and looking at the coin, I based my information about this coin on bad pictures with an optical illusion. Again, I'm sorry for wasting time and being a butt head. I would also like to give a special thanks to vampicker for knocking me back into reality. If this is not a VAM 10A and you guys aren't too P.O.'d with me, you can let me know what you think. If you need other pictures, let me know. I thank everybody here at this site for your time and your help. I promise to be less intuitive in my future posts and better prepared. Here are some of those new PICS:

I wouldn't waste money on TPG grading of this coin. There are thousands and thousands in this condition. We used to crack these coins out of the government holders and get the silver value for them when silver skyrocketed back in the day. Enjoy your 84CC as is...Nice coin!

I will say 63-64 as the grade and if you are set on getting it graded definitely send to NGC over PCGS. Even though 1884-CC is a very common GSA coin the more that are sent to PCGS and being cracked out by other people the less will be available. The NGC graded examples of the GSA Morgans are one area that NGC coins will sell for more money constantly than their PCGS GSA counterparts because collectors would rather have them in their original GSA holder than in a regular PCGS slab with just the letters "GSA" added to the label

I am curious as to why you would apologize to VAM World for your inexperience with Vamming?
