I received an advertisement from Littleton Coin company in the mail.

I could get the first 10 quarters in this series (2010-2012) for $5. In uncirculated condition. Ok, sounds interesting.

I read the fine print and notice you get auto-enrolled in their Coin of the Month type program. It says you can cancel anytime.

If anyone has any experience working with this company that you would be willing to share I would certainly appreciate it.

I was wanting to know this too. I haven't received this one, but I did get the one about 20 Presidential dollars for $20.

Yeah, the auto-enrollment is the real catch, but from what I've heard they are very good about honoring cancellations. There regular prices are extremely high, but they are an well-established company with a good reputation. A number of people on this forum have joined to get the special introductory bargain offer (like the one you are talking about, or getting an ASE at melt value, etc.) and have then cancelled with no problem.

I agree with Barry. I've used them in the past to get the great offers and then cancelled right away. The stuff they send in their auto-enrollment is pretty common stuff and sold at very inflated prices. So if you do send for them, just cancel right away.

Littleton lures you in with the offer then tries to sell you overpriced common coins "on approval".
They've been around for years. I've heard people have no problem cancelling the approval service but I can't speak from personal experience.

About 2 years ago I took them up on their offer of State Quarters. Initially it was good until my first regular shipment when I found out the coins were not up to par and had an overinflated price on them. I called them up and they let me send those coins back and permanently cancelled me from further orders. There was no problem. One thing I will say about the company is that they have drawn a lot of new people into coin collecting through these offerings.

Just my opinions

Yes, Littleton is great on recruiting, so I have to give them credit there.

Thank you all. Do you think it would be a good deal to do the 20 Presidentials for $20, since I have not started collecting them yet and would like to.

Sounds good but I don't know if you have to pay the postage ti return the approvals.

You can cancel the approval, once you receive the initial coins. And usually the first approval coins you receive, you can return them postage paid.

20 dollar coins for $20 is a great deal, since you are getting them for face value and are worth collecting, if you want to get into that series. I would do it, if I were you.

What is the code for it? I want to look into it too.

wquinn I don't have the paper with me right now, but I will look for it and PM it to you. I have also seen it as an online ad. So if I see the online ad first, I will PM you the link to it.

The code is 2JG400 and they are only offering it to new customers. I don't think they will let me get it then.

I placed my order, to try it out for returning customers. And they are throwing in the 2010 P&D Lincoln Head Cent Set, Uncirculated, for free, so that was nice of them. Plus it is free shipping. A better deal than what I could get at my bank.

Well then, that is wonderful. Now I don't have to look at all for the paper. Also, I have never ordered with them so I see no problem for me.

Thanks for the offer of looking it up.

I got an order # and they said it was in the mail, so hopefully I'll get them early next week.

Do you plan to order them soon?
