First .. why do people have to fold up a nice note and carry it around ..

When I first looked at it and seen the star .. I was hoping for a "I" .. but was this "L star"

I bought this just to be nice to a lady .. I don't think it has much value with the folds.

Also I am not sure about fancy SN's this is sort of like a short radar note. But I am guessing it is really not more than just interesting .. not collectible

It's a fancy serial number because if you turn the note upside down the numbers are still ...numbers.

I forget what these are called but I read something about those a while back. Or maybe I heard something at a club meeting.....

I'll check my old club newsletters and let you know if I find out what they are called.
Rest in Peace

They are called 'Flipper' or 'Rotator' notes.

It's a keeper.

Nice note

A True flipper / rotator would have been 00 66 99 00 similar to a radar format...

FWIW, On the candaian currency forum here at ccf there is more discussion about this (Old Topic)
