I do not know a lot about Australian coins, but a local dealer had a whole bunch of high quality moderns. I picked out a few of the pretty ones. Here is a nice 50 cent piece. The picks show the beautiful purple/blue/silver color of the obverse. The reverse is similarly toned but pics through the plastic are tough.
BTW should I leave the coin in its packaging or set it free? Thank you in advance!:)
I would say it depends on how you store your other orld coins. If theyre all over theplace then leave it in the packaging. If theyre all neat in 2x2's then I would remove it.
I'd leave it packaged; got a feeling these Hutt Commemorative PNC's will jump in price point at some point in time. The 1966 and 1967 sets are good (produced by the 99 company? - either way, you often see them on ebay scoring dollars about CV, so packaging has to be worth something.
