Thanks so much for your help on this. Buddy, I may take you up on your offer for the show in Elgin if it works for my schedule. Please share any of the details on the show.

If your in the Chicago area, there are many coin shows every Month and all are free to get in and free parking. Can't remember which one is in some of the locations. One is either in Rolling Meadows or near there. Usually these are seldom in that Google thing called Illinois coin shows.
Countryside is on the second Sunday of every Month and is about 6600 South on lagrage Road in LaGrange. One block West of Joliet Road. Anywhere from 80 to 100 dealers. Sometimes really crowded and last Sunday was like that.
Itasca is the Second Sunday of every Month and is on Irving Park Road, about a mile past the Itasca Metra Train station.
Cicero-Berwyn coin show is usually on the 3rd Sunday of every Month. 6630 Weat 116th Street, Berwyn, Illinois
Your best place to buy and sell coins is at those shows.
Rest in Peace

BuckeyeBob as you've seen, there are plenty of shows around.

The Elgin Coin Club show is on Oct. 28th. It starts at 9 and goes until about 3 or 4.

I and a few others will be taking turns at the 'welcome' table. My real name is Vonelle and I'm a 57 year-old woman.

The Elgin Coin Club has a Facebook page but it isn't up-to-date --- so I just gave it a poke and I hope it will be updated soon.

If you want attend, I'll be sure to get the address for you and you should check out some map service online because it is held at a VFW post which is currently surrounded by a roadwork nightmare. It is pretty easy to pass up the driveway to the hall.

I'll be checking back with you. Do you live anywhere near Elgin?

BTW - DON't clean them in any way. These look nice and cleaning will take much of the value away.

If your not in that much of a hurry to sell these, I would recommend you do what I did this past March when my Sister's husband died and she didn't know the value of the Silver Dollars and was thinking of selling them for spot...
I have a gmail account that lets me send upto 25MB per message, and had taken high resolution (5-7mb) photos and post a thread on the Morgan & Peace dollar VAM forum and explain your situation and request if you can email them photos to check for any rare VAMS... I found them to be fantastic, and they know their VAMs...
Rest in Peace

Broken-Cointhat is excellent advice. I didn't realize you could get that kind of help on that site.
