I have moved this to the 'Classic US coins' forum. I was told "these are very nice examples of US Mint patterns of classic US silver and gold coins." It will be nice to get some comments from our Classic experts.

Very interesting seeing pattern coins for silver and gold, but minted on copper planchets. Thanks for sharing!!

Silly question. Why the 65 grade? These appear to be extremely well struck. Level of detail is extraordinary. Shouldn't they be higher?

I am confused as to what the provenance issues are? They are absolutely amazing coins! Quote: Why the 65 grade? These appear to be extremely well struck. Level of detail is extraordinary. Shouldn't they be higher? It is possible that there are hairlines that are just not visible in the photos but visible in hand.

Provenance may have to do with the fact that these coins are patterns.
