I was going through some of my old Morgans and found this tucked away.
Has anyone ever saw this before? It a a VERY obvious error...
I can not find a VAM that fits.

I don't know squat about VAMs but the line across your coin might not be a die break. It it's a lamination it counts as a mint error but probably won't be as desirable as a major die break.

Another possibility is post-mint damage. Coins have been posted on CCF which had been cut with a sharp tool and the displaced metal was subsequently worn down, leaving a raised ridge that resembled a die crack.

I'll be interested in what other CCF members have to say.

Thanks Jaobler....
It does not appear to be post minting...but I am no expert whatsoever.
There are 3 flaws lines that I can see the one from the back of eye to the 3rd star and the one from above ear to the neck with the 3rd flaw occuring on the neck itself.

I am leaning towards PMD on this one because it looks like I can still see a gash on the line at the neck area on the straight on picture but its really hard to determine by the photos. Is there anyway you can get some close shots of the areas in question

Well as you all know, getting a GREAT coin picture close up is a real bugger...
I took a few more shots that may help you see what I am seeing. Photo buckett is NOT doing these justice.
Is there a better way to post without loosing my resolution?
And thanks to all for looking at this for me.
I plan on getting it graded, and am wondering which grading service is the better for grading VAM's?
I have never got a coin graded so not sure the best way....
