we need to see the back too. And if you can get weight and size, that would help.

I wish I could say that it is real but I don't think that is case with this coin.

Is the coin magnetic?
Of interest, look at thos tall rims!
What is the diameter? Is the edge reeded or not?

the rim on the reverse image does look odd. Do you have the weight? If real, the weight should be very close to 26.73 grams

I own some fake ones, you'd be surprised how good the fakes look. Could be fake, get it weighed

What do you think the best way is to get it weighted

Kitchen scale should work. If it's not silver, weight will be off considerably.

Has some type of "casing" been added around the rim? Is it reeded?
It looks very suspect and may have some type of bezel on it if it is genuine.

reeding or reeded edge is the term for the grooved notches on the edge of some coins. A US quarter has reeding, a nickel doesn't

Grab a magnet from your fridgerator and set it on your coin. If it sticks, your new coin is surely fake because silver does NOT STICK to a magnet.
