I have a 1966 Two Cent coin and no sd, would this be a coin that I should hang onto? Thinking about selling it, but don't know how rare it is.

It's a keeper. All the missing SD's are keepers.
When you have them in UNC or better, then consider
selling off the surplus.
They are not rare but very scarce to extremely scarce.
In unc or better they are knocking on the door of Rare.

Not hard to find but only if you have, a few thousand 2¢ coins to search! Really, not very common at all.
Definite keepers. One sold on ebay recently for $2.00 each, buy it now. On auction they have been fetching $20 and up (plus postage). 1967 and 1968 have been little lower prices.
So, if you don't want to keep it ebay would give you a quick return.

In my opinion the 1966 is the easiest date to get the no SD but is still hard. All mine are circulated except for one 1981 which is real nice. Might be worth hanging onto but if you need some cash I think Jeff is about right with ebay and the $15-20 mark.

Actually, The 1966 No-Sd Two Cent is the toughest to get in mint state as PCGS just qualified one and only one so far as they only have been qualified in 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1981...

Are the Missing SD coins really worth $1000 plus in mint state ?
or is ebay just really innacurate?

In an answer-yes they are. I've been studying these since I re-discovered them in 1996 and have only found a few that were legit-that is not die-fills but "clean" strikes. And in all that time only found 1 (one) 1966 no-sd..!
