Kind of hard to tell but I'd wager higher. AU58 at least. I don't see any immediate wear at first glance.

Wow. You can count the kernels of corn.

Interesting streaking.....on the plantchet? Or does this coin have a light wipe from an old dip?

REALLY like the superb detail.

I know my photo taking skills are not top notch... but I tried. The color is better in hand. The luster maybe not as good as the photo shows. I am looking for a Barber expert to tell me if I should send this in. I bought it for au50 money. I would need to be at au55 problem free for it to be worth it? Help me out guys.

Hopefully Matthewvincent will come round, he's a Barber expert. That reverse is about the best I've ever seen, superb !
I don't know if youve used the optimizer before but you can rotate the pics to be upright if you want.

The amount of details remaining does look indicative of an AU coin. I think what is going to determine the grade at this level is the amount of mint luster present. I don't see much luster present and if you say that it might be less in hand, then I think the coin might be a low AU at best.

Thanks for the replies. The toning, which I did not capture well, is dark. Both the oversee and reverse have better color than shown. The oversee has excellent luster on the device but toning in the fields. The same to a degree with the reverse...
