Now, be fair Dave...it's only $398.99 too high since it is at least worth $1. Seriously, there are an awful lot of these. I wouldn't pay a premium for them at all to tell you the truth. That's just my opinion (and obviously Dave's ).

It's estimated and likely no-edge lettering coins number in the thousands or tens of thousands. HSN is playing their usual con game. Actual value as others stated: $1, free S&H.

I'm not knocking the error collectors...but it's too bad that some naive people get suckered into thinking that every little abnormality in a coin might make it worth hundreds or thousands of times face value. Sheesh. This hype over the Presidential dollars is going beyond the pale. We can only hope that it fades sometime soon.

to be fair, this is an error and it is worth a premium.
A year from now, these should be in the 20 dollar range, IMO

And here I was the other kind of down in the dumps I got 3 rolls and the one roll had all prefect dieing on it. Man now I feel alot better. Not going to open the other two rolls, might be worthless error dollars.
BTW, on the HSC error sale. I wonder how many MS69/70s and errors will on there for sale in the coming months. I mean with this graded certified roll program they are having literally million graded. I think the better grades will be on there soon so sale.

I will only stand by and watch the comedy in the next few months ahead. This coin series in my opinion is going to be a mitigated disaster. The public is not yet accepting the use of coinage for their beloved green-back. Good luck to all that are participating in this frenzy.

Think of it this way. This is just the first dollar, there are many more. I'm sure, when the hype for the Washington dollar wears down, another dead presidential error will take its place.
