So, I get VACookey's spike chin 1/2 cent piece in the mail. I run to look at it and pack it for her present. I sit my coffee on the desk (I bet you see where this is going now). The spike chin is a great coin, definitely worth what I paid for it. I grab a box, go sit back down and sploosh, I knock the coffee/peppermint hot chocolate over. It misses the spike, but deluges half of everything else on my desk.

Buffalos, IHPs, Kennedys, Walkers, Bens etc. Ever been so mad/frustrated you could cry? Thats me right about now. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I can feel you. Just have to clean it up and move forward......
That's why I afraid of having any kind of open-cup drink on my work desk....
I prefer water/drink in bottle and I usually put it on the floor because in the past, when I move around, the chair spin and the back support would hit things or knock drinking cup over....

Sorry you had such a mess...but I think the liquids are all water soluble so distilled water, a blow dryer, and a whole lot of time will fix it.

I do know how you feel. I knock stuff over all the time. And your post is probably the nudge I need to get serious about putting everything away.

Whatever you do, don't call a government agency for help. They'll only make it worse.

Once, I made a HUGE quantity of hot tea. I poured the freshly brewed, piping hot tea into a glass pitcher. I decided to flavor the tea with frozen lemonade concentrate. Already know where this is going? When the clump of frozen lemonade hit the bottom of the glass pitcher, CAAAAAAABLEWY. The whole bottom of the glass pitcher blew out and approximately 3/4 of a gallon of hot, sweetened with lemonade concentrate tea went everywhere including all nooks and crannies in places only the cockroaches could go. No coins ruined and I never told the (ex)wife.

And you have fresh 2x2's for all of the affected coins. It could be a good thing. I will try to be positive about it the next time I spill something on a coin (probably not).
