Great bunch of indians. The 1864 is worth what you paid for the entire lot by itself so the rest are a bonus. A few, the 1885 obverse, 1895 and 1899 both sides, look like they've had the original patina rubbed through with fingers but don't look actually cleaned. You did good. Ed ANA LM-3175

Very nice! That lot would have gone for 3 to 4 times that at any auction around here!

Thanks to everyone for the appreciative comments. Hope some of the luck rubs off. I dunno where the usual competition was that particular time, because I routinely get outbid on USA coins at this sale. I have much better success with 'darkside' stuff. Message here is, don't pre-judge or pass over the local sales with a few coins listed, because you never know what will happen or what you will find. Anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the appearance of that 1899 by getting rid of the crusty deposits? I gave it an acetone soak which was not much help. The worn one I already had in the album actually has better eye appeal.

The coin auction I usually attend would have sold those "by the piece times 10" They would have easily hit $5-$7. This guy only goes to 'price for the entire lot' if no one bids.
You have very good reason to be happy, super pickup!
