I'd have bought a few more gold coins if I was the lucky guy that received the last roll of pennies. With 20,000 rolls of the final pennies having a special wrapper with a hologram, the lucky guy that had number 20,000 sold it on ebay for $6600.

Does that make any sense? I would rather have the first coins minted off fresh dies, not the last?

Having the last 50 pennies made in Canada is cool but not $6600 cool

All your paying for is the holographic sticker! Very last coin was ceremonially struck and for all you know they just set aside the last million the mint wouldn't take the time to organize them in order

Manage to pick up premium hand pick 1913 and 1914 $5 from the vancouver boutique. I did not plan to pick up the 1913, however some of the premium coins are indeed superb. There are still some 1912 $5 premium left. However, they are not worth the extra dough. There are about another 5 $10 1912 when I left and I personally think some of them are lucky to get MS-60. Do not understand how these coins could still show up at the mint.
