Today I received my income tax refund check and while opening it I noticed an advertisement for the new Presidential dollars on the back. The add gives the web site for the US mint. I thought it was clever, but odd. Just wondering if anyone else noticed the same.

Mint's ad is everywhere now, on TV and on magazines. Every dollar you keep is a dollar for US government to burn somewhere. However we can not stop collecting, expecially those gold ones, not the "golden" ones.

I guess the government wants me to exchange my check for Presidential dollars.

I didn't see the ad because I don't get a refund check. My money goes the other direction.

That is the way it is with mine Gary Burke, I wouldn't know what to do if I got some back.
That reminds me I have to send mine in this week. Anyone got a large box so I can send the clothes off my back also?

They've figured out what to do with the all the dollars they are minting that nobody wants: Anyone that itemizes deductions or files for any tax credit gets their refund sent to them SBA's and Sacs.
Rest in Peace

Sitting in the Doctors office today reading Newsweek and lo and behold an ad from the mint saying "Remember that good feeling you had collecting coins as a child?" you can now rekindle that blah blah blah.....Another reason to increase prices due to heavy advertising costs! Looks like their turning into "Littletons" LOL Mike....they overcharge at about the same rate!!!
