From the big art bar fad of the 70s. Nice one for the tree next year darth. Cool connection too

Thanks, Cascade. I'm going to get the 1000 grain bar too. Who knows, maybe I'll build a bar tube full of these. I'm becoming more and more a fan of these exonumia/stacker type items.

The local pawn shop has half dollars (Kennedys and a few Walking Libertys) for $7 a pop.

Pawn shops seldom are the most economical places to buy coins. As Numisma suggests, try an LCS first.

I'm planning on doing the same, Cascade. These things seem to appreciate more than most bullion. And they are shiny.

The newer smaller sheet looks pretty cool for the pandas, I might get one IF silver gets going.

But before I get a sheet I want a roll of SOmalia Elephants and a Somalia kilo coin

Just bought a 2016 panda on JM Bullion for $1293 (Check)... Only have a few oz of gold so it's time to grow the physical stash a bit.

Almost went with the Somali but it was another $25+ and I wanted a panda anyway. But you almost had me buying an elephant yup lol

A maple leaf would be in the $1300 range currently. Gold is where all the big money is flowing in to right now so it's more attractive currently however with the gold / silver ratio being over 80:1 silver is attractive in that sense. Guess it just depends on your preferance.

I would say buy the gold coin, forget silver, it is dead.

However, that said, do not be surprised that gold gets a swift ride lower.

we are in for some wild, violent bumpy times.

Grinx76: There's one thread by Yup, on the PM section that's fantastic and discusses where the price action of gold and silver are right now...

By his own words and in my point of view... gold is a very attractive buy right now.. and it's starting to gain momentum.

Cascade mentioned the GSR being 80:1.... but that has to deal less with buying and more with exchanges.....swapping one commodity for another at different ratio points to double up on a particular commodity.

My advice might sound quite contrarian.. but if you are simply out to buy... gold is attractive... however if you already HAVE gold... swapping it for silver is the play that I did....(wrote about it in a threat about GSR swap)

Hope that's a bit of help.
