YEH! Nice work! I just read you stack comments in the what you add to your stack thread. I dont know why people complain about space that silver takes. You got yourself a nice compact healthy thing going on there!

That's a great picture, I really like the variety. Where did you buy the old bars? Unfortunately my LCS doesn't have anythng like that.

Another "silver stack" many on CCF may have: Complete collection of modern Silver Proof Sets (one set each from 1992 to 2012), and the Silver Proof Quarter Sets (one each from 2004 to 2012) = 31.5 oz. of Ag Add in my duplicates, extra unboxed lenses and loose coins in 2x2's/flips (and a 2000-S Silver JFK circulation find!), and I'm over the 100 oz. mark just in 1992-2012 Silver Proof coins.

The ASE 20 roll and 25 Maples I got again from TBK and the 10 stack of Morgans as well.... The roll of 20 Morgans I won on ebay.... Quote: I dont know why people complain about space that silver takes. I don't either. Silver has the most up side potential percentage wise over gold. But them again, it can also pose a bigger down side threat also. I would say that you guys are off to a very nice start.

It sounds like I need to get friendly with Throw Back Kid, LOL! Is he a dealer or just a hobbyist like (I assume) most of us are?

Quote: I don't know why people complain about space that silver takes. You can put a ten-ounce bar in your pocket. Of course, silver coins in OGP boxes (Silver Proofs, ASE's, etc) are another matter, but it still beats hoarding copper!

this summer I will stack a lot more, made a huge decision to move back home and attend college a lot closer to home, kills me knowing I'm spending 9000$ (or 272 ounces of silver) this year just to live in residence. so next year I will put that towards PMs!

jakedacc, I like how you translate dorm life into 272 ounces of silver. I've been doing that calculating about a lot of things I spend money on. Thanks for the reminder.

I know how you feel, jakedacc. This year our cars are paid off and then it's more money for stacking. Car payment = 10 oz of silver a month!

I spent about 2 weeks reading old threads so I wouldn't be a complete newbie when I joined and TBK used to be very active. Does he still come around much?

Depending on how much Ag you've accumulated and over what timeframe, storage can present a significant challenge . . . I switched buying mostly Ag to buying mostly Pd/Au/Pt with a little Ag thrown in a while ago because my Ag (that I've been steadily accumulating since 1981) was taking up too much space. A good problem to have of course!
