with the 2007 its meant to be thick or thin and I don't know what mine are. I know the first pic is one of the wave ones and the 2nd and 4th is the 81 claw then 2004 pointy A, then the queen with a big cold-sore, and the last I don't know the proper name but that mark goes all the way around on the lip/border

There's a couple things to look for on 2007 20c's. On the Obverse (Queen side), look for a difference in the downstroke of the 7 in the date, thick or thin. On the reverse (Platypus side) look for an almost missing claw on the outside platypus' foot. I'll try & put up some images tomorrow so you know what you're looking for.

The coin with the ridge running around the edge might be your best find so far. It's possible that it could be a reasonably unusual error where the coin is struck partially out of the collar. A close up of the edge of the coin might make identification of the error a bit easier. Is any of the reeding missing?

Some info and pictures can be seen here:

The rim looks pretty high on that one. Almost like a small ramstrike.

Hello Candace I have 2 x 2007 20 cents here in front of me.

The edge is reeded but appears to have been reeded over the top of a lightly struck centre ridge. (very light)

The 2 coins are 5 mm thick and appear to be equal so 2.5 mm thick each.

Hi darge I measured this 1997 one it is 3mm thick and 28mm wide so about 1/2mm difference than the norm. My 2007 are same thickness as yours,

Yeah, you find them with the big portrait occasionally. In all my searching, I've found one big portrait 2004 20c.

Here are a couple of photos of the 2007 thin 7 and thick 7. You can see that the downward stroke of the thin 7 appears slightly longer than that of the thick 7.

dont try and clean your coins, at most soak them in de mineralized water and pat dry softly with a microfibre cloth, or soak in pure acetone to remove grease and grime. but never rub or try to clean, the hardest effort mine get is water from a squirty bottle
