Coin shows some mileage but I am almost sure I see evidence of DD on the reverse within "America."

Experts, please tell me what I have, thanks.

I'd lean towards Machine Doubling.
Rest in Peace

Looks like Strike Doubling to me.

If it is, it's a really good one.

Keeper.

Nice find

I know collectors do not put a premium on something like this, but with that much MD I'd keep it for sure. I have a 1966 something like this.

I have often wondered how hard it would be to put together a set of MD JFKs - it might be fun to try.

There is no such thing as an "error" being caused by a die variety. Doubled dies are not errors, they are die varieties.

And your coin exhibits very typical Machine Doubling.

Thanks guys for the good comments & info. To be honet Machine Doubling & Double Die coins look very similar to my novice eyes. I will simply collect them all as they are both cool to me.
