I'm thinking around April. Not sure how many coins are in the series.

March or April sounds correct. I was told by the mint that it will be the last of the series and will probably have a mintage of 10,000.

I woud be surprised if this proved to be the last in the series. I figure a minimum of 4. I sort of doubt it will be as numerous as the birds of Canada series, because insects in general don't have as much appeal as birds, but I could be wrong. I'm thinking a dragonfly would be a great addition.

$600 to $700 is the average going rate for that coin. It's down about $100 to $200 for it's all time high.

@darryldarryl,
Same here. I was told the 3rd coin could be the last one. Don't know if it is true.

3 coins in the series would be fine by me. I don't prefer when they put too many coins in a series. Once I've bought the first couple I need to buy the rest but sometimes it gets to a point that I would sooner buy other coins.

Yes I was told by a good source at the mint that the final coin of the series will be next year. The coin is already in the making however I can't find out what it is going to be.

I hope they don't overdo it like the Swarovski crystals.

That just does not make sense... how can something like that possibly be worth the same as a VF 1948 silver dollar ($1000)?
The irony being that a 1948 VF silver dollar isn't worth what people pay for a 1948 VF silver dollar.

I could see this coin keeping it's value since you can argue it has to be one of the mints most popular coins.
With a low mintage and the demand still strong, I can still see this coin being hot for years to come.

The winning scored of this coin is only 5000 mintage. Value will keep going up as higher demand.
For example: 10.000 collectors own a glass bee. Only 5.000 of them own a glass lady bug. The other half will try to get the Glass Lady Bug if they want to complete the series.
