Anyone know of a good one? The bigger in % of the surface area, the better, but anyone might do. I have a feeling I've seen some before but can't remember where.
Doesn't matter which country it's from. Edited by Litotes 12/14/2012 07:35 am

Just to see images :)
Which also means it wouldn't matter if it costs $ 1 000 000.

I went to http://(131231) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed / and searched for "castle", and several came up. Click on pictures to bring up coins from that country.

Look up pictures of ancient roman coins with the 'campgate' theme. I'm sure many have been featured in the CCF Ancient subforum. This might not fit exactly what you're looking for, but I think they're close. And the added ancient flavor helps. Also check Doug's site.

I've always thought that this 1996 Smithsonian commemorative dollar has a regal "castle" look.

Those modern coins offer elegant, tasteful representations of castles. If you want something a bit more crude I recommend the silver coinage from the province of Cordoba in Argentina. They're pretty basic!

It seems they gave you the option of paying by check and told you if you wanted to buy using a card there was an additional fee to cover their cost. What is wrong with that? Do you want them to eat the fee? How would they make any money? They did not decline your order or stop you from buying. Why give them a bad wrap!!

Castles on coins is a great theme - definitely possibilities there. Some great coins on show above too. Here is one of mine - rather unusual because of the insert showing a stained glass window (badly photographed - sorry)
