Stevo, I see criminal all over that ebay posting. First he wants direct deposit then he has a feedback score of 1, and if that wasn't enough he isn't allowed to sell something that valuable on his first try by ebay's rules. Good Luck!

I reported it as a fraudulent item. If he is listing a picture of your coin it is not his and fraudulent

He has been slightly smarter this time and put a 'watermark' on the image. Hopefully this doesn't hold ebay up for too long in destroying the weeds account.

1 feedback and now he sells a $1000+ coin. No bids yet and ebay has not pulled the listing.

did you provide ebay with the picture of yours. I am guessing you have posted the image somewhere online and it should have a date on when it was posted that way ebay will know it is a stolen image. The water mark is going to be a factor I believe and if someone buys the coin they will definitely get away with it because of this. I don't know about ebay AU rules but "direct deposit" isn't an acceptable option for payment on ebay US and that alone would be enough to get the auction pulled

ebay Au tried to make Paypal, or cash on pickup, only allowable payment options but the regulatory authority kiboshed that. "Direct deposit preferred" is acceptable but every listing must offer Paypal as one of the payment options. Jeff

Quote: but every listing must offer Paypal as one of the payment options. I have seen a lot of sellers that refuse to accept paypal and even refund payments made to paypal and its just business as usual for ebay. They set rules but don't enforce them

It is within the rules to only accept "cash on pickup" for items which are "pickup only", although I have had ebay remove a listing like that. I pointed put their rules to them.... They are not good at enforcing their rules and IMO forcing paypal on everybody is ONLY about making more money for ebay. BTW. one of the rules with paypal is that the seller must provide proof of postage. I have heard of dishonest buyers paying with paypal, picking up the item, then lodging an "item not received" complaint and getting the money refunded because there was no proof of postage. Don't accept paypal for items being picked up.

I remember his last item, he had a UNC+ mule with the description PCGS AU50, and the photographed coin wasn't in a holder, I sent him a message about it, never received a response.

Quote: Why is this coin so valuable. what is a mule? Year 2000 $1 coin obverse accidently stamped with 10c die which is slightly smaller hence the inner ring and all 6000 of them went into circulation so high grade examples are worth quite a bit
