I was wondering what this might grade at and what would cause the rim on the obverse to look like that?

Very interesting coin. I like the Longacre doubling on the obverse.

WHAT is underneath the "2" in the date? Overdate?

Possible the planchet wasn't fully seated when struck?

I think it has AU-50 details but the scratches on the obverse would constitute a problem status for this cent. I would likewise guess the unusual rim feature from 5:00 to 10:00 on the obverse is from some kind of misalignment during striking.
