Found this in a roll tonight. It dates from the 90s but can't make out the last digit. Reverse is normal. What would cause this? Thanks for looking and reading, MM2

Awesome! I wanna guess that its a Struck Through Die Cap....but that is purely my best guess.

The cent was struck through a capped die and there is a very late stage brockage present, you can still see the distorted remains of the Memorial bays. Generic capped die strikes are not uncommon but having any stage of a brockage certainly helps the value, I would estimate value at around $15-20.

Nice capped die error, very strong memorial showing. I think it'd fetch more than $20, closer to $50 IMO.
