Not the freshest coin in the horde but it's got honest wear, no overt damage. Should be gradeable, right? Looks like an AG3 to me... whaddaya think? I think it should go to a TPG straightaway. (trying out my new USB scope, working out the kinks)

Wow that is a great coin it definetly deserves to be graded by a TPG! Great coin and imagine the stories that coin could tell but even more amazing because it came from your family hoard!!

Yeah, I believe we can refer to this as a "win."

Believe that is a winner. Wondering why the rush to send to a TPG ... I am familiar with your fun quest to search the family hoard ... I suppose at the end of the day if you choose to keep this coin then no TPG opinion is needed. However ... for resale ... this high-value coin must be in a TPG slab to gain the broadest audience of potential suitors. Thanks for sharing ... I'm enjoying the photo of this well circulated key coin. David

What a perfect AG-3 example! No rims, but all the letters. This is another case where this could get a G-4, just because it's the key date. People tend to say my AG-3 Carson City Morgans are G-4 unless the coin is borderline FR-2...

No doubt this coin will get a grade. PCGS is the one I would send this coin to. They have the best resale value of all of the grading services and in the slab no one will be able to question its authenticity. Great looking piece. Ed ANA LM-3175

Sort of a borderline AG-3/G-4 because the rims are very worn but not worn into the lettering. I think it will grade and could just make G-4. A wonderful coin!

DoubleEagle, I noticed the same thing. I think it really is somewhere between the two grades.
We will send it off for grading, but regardless of the resulting grade I think this is a wonderful coin. Nice even wear, good character, everything legible. I find it very appealing :)

Is it just me or do any of you look at heavily worn Morgans and think "Little Orphan Annie"?
