I note that ebay has made it increasingly difficult to report. The pull-downs are making less and less sense with time.

Hey Sid, Way to spot this one... How did you manage to contact the buyer...? I just get the stock reply answers on his ebay msg board and can't get through to him... This guy's changed his ebay id 5 times... not necessarily proof of unscrupulous behaviour, but suspicious... On this item though, he's definitely gonna' end up with a very unhappy buyer... I've also made a report to ebay... and would encourage others to... there's 3 days left in auction... and the genuine pieces usually get bid up around a thousand or so... What he's selling is a "1967 Sudbury Ontario $20.00 gold plated token. These were made to be similar to the 1967 Canadian $20.00 gold coins from the 1967 Centennial Sets. This token is not made of gold, but is gold plated. One side has Queen Elizabeth II and the other has the Canadian Coat of Arms, very similar to the gold coin. Below the Coat of Arms it states Canadian Centennial Gold Coin Monument, Sudbury Canada."They are not worth much... there's one on asyn right now ending this afternoon that has a current bid of $31 bucks... Take care, and Best Wishes to you and yours for a Happy New Year! cameron93

Here's one described more realistically, note the difference in price.I'm sure the seller knows what it really is.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website

Sid, I've filed an official complaint with E-bay security, we'll see what happens. Hre's a copy of what they sent back to me after I filed! Glenn We'll review your report carefully and take appropriate action. You don't need to contact us about your report again. Your report is just one factor we review. To determine the action we take, we'll consider the type of violation you're reporting and how it may impact other ebay members. If the listing doesn't follow our guidelines, it may be removed. However, in some cases, the listing may stay on ebay, and we may contact the member to provide training. We also may place limits on the member's ability to buy or sell on ebay. To protect the privacy of all of our members, we're unable to share the action we take.

I will try my luck with ebay. My reports do not follow "normal" channels.

he does offer a 7 day return period, kind of silly considering it will screw up his feedback unless he gets a completely clueless buyer.
simply type "1967 sudbury 20$ gold" in google

If it's not stopped in time, we can always contact the buyer afterwards and inform him/her about the $1 piece of cr*p they just purchased.

Check the seller's feedback and you can ID the buyer.
Takes a little detective work but it's been done before.
About a year ago there was a seller from Great Britain that sold about 11 fake 'CC' Morgans. It was only after the sale that I spotted these and I contacted all the buyers telling them to have their purchase verified. Not all of them, but many contacted me weeks later and thanked me, as I saved a few of them between 200 to 600 pounds.
