Got a few silver Washingtons from a teller yesterday :) I plan on going back and throwing some more chocolate their way, since after I did that last time they saved me these! (I gave them chocolate when I scored that full roll of 64 kennedys)
Does anyone else have tellers save them coins? I have been trying hard to get to work and apparently the key is chocolate! Hopefully now that I got the ball rolling it will continue!!
Yep, chocolate cupcakes for the head teller at one bank and chocolate chip cookies for the other bank. Works wonders, and at yet the third bank, I get clued in on repo'ed cars, bullion and I am allowed no fee orders for large coin requests. For what, a lunch costing me 8-10 bucks a couple times a year.
The tellers here don't save coins for anyone in particular. I just missed out on THREE solid rolls of silver Washingtons, because another "collector" got to them first. First come, first served. I've even had my ordered boxes poached by walk-ins.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72
In the antique world (at least in my world) we call this 'tipping out'. Sometimes cash works better but if chocolate works for you, bring them Godiva Chocolate. Godiva is the equivalent to Tiffany or a dozen roses. Keep the ladies happy.
Yeah, I really hope I don't get poached. That's why I bring them goodies, because if everyone else is trying to freeload, hopefully they will save them for the one guy who brings them something in return!
