Poll Question
$15K would be pretty nice, wouldn't it. I don't know if I'd keep it or sell it. What would you guys do? http://www.numismaster.com/ta/numis...id=234695832Results

Sell it after it was TPG'd, otherwise knowing my luck, it would wind up back in my penny jug.

I'd sell it. My luck, I'd keep it, then somebody finds a box full of rolled BU examples and the prices drop faster than Little Boy.

I'd sell it because right now it is low population and so high price. If lots of these are ultimately found, could drive price way down real fast. Not sure what the long -term upside potential is if no others are found- probably really good. But I think it unlikely that no others would be found.

I would sell it since the discovery is most likely the peak value and I could buy alot of other shiny round goodies for $15k

I am going to set my 1983 cents aside now and check for the copper ring. I could never find it in myself to cash in any of them I find from roll hunting since that is the year I was born.

I am not a huge Lincoln Cent collector, so I think that I would sell it and invest in more world coins, animal subject coins, or precious metals

Sell it and buy gold and silver. To be able to turn one cent into a nice pile of gold and silver coins is a no brainer.

keep it if I didnt need the money badly. who knows, in another 50-70 years it could be the new 1943 bronzes. at a population of about 2 compared to a population of around 21 1943 bronzes its actually quite a bit rarer even.

Since I put most of my coins in Albums, I'd have to sell that one. No place for one in any Albums so out it goes.

I can think of a lot of coins that I really want for $15k. I would definitely sell it (after getting it slabbed first). And with the billions of 1983 cents out there, I would bet there are others, some of which will never be found.

I would sell it but not for $15k. The 83P goes for around that and since this is the first known 83D I would want more for it. John1
